Today, we embark on a long and exciting journey, full of surprises and awe-inspiring destinations. Our first stop is the charming town of Borjomi, known for its sparkling mineral water. Here, we will have the chance to stroll through the picturesque park, taking in the fresh mountain air, and indulging in a taste of the natural spring water straight from the source. We will then continue our journey to the magnificent Vardzia cave town, a true marvel of medieval architecture and history. The caves stretch along the cliff for over 500 meters, reaching up to nineteen tiers, and were once a thriving cultural center, as well as a shelter during times of war. As we explore this incredible site, we will be transported back in time, imagining what life was like for the people who once called this place home. And as we make our way back to Tbilisi, we can reflect on the many wonders we’ve seen along our 500-kilometer journey. It’s a long drive, to be sure, but with stunning landscapes, fascinating history, and new experiences around every turn.
