Today, we will embark on a journey towards the David Gareja Monastery complex, nestled in the southeast of Georgia, just on the border line of Azerbaijan. Our destination is the stunning Lavra monastery, a true marvel of architecture and history. While the other parts of the complex may be off-limits due to a dispute between the two neighboring countries, fear not, for Lavra is a sight to behold. And as we make our way towards it, we will be treated to a scenic drive through a semi-desert landscape, with endless open spaces stretching out before us. So sit back, relax, and let’s hit the road towards one of Georgia’s most iconic landmarks. Who knows what other wonders await us on this exciting journey?
