Tbilisi-Sighnaghi-Bodbe-Winery-Tbilisi

We will be visiting Kakheti, the region in Georgia where wine originated. Georgia has a long history of viticulture and winemaking, with evidence dating back to the Neolithic period. Our journey will take us through vineyards, agricultural fields, and gardens. Our first stop will be in the village of Badiauri, which is known for its bread baking and cheese making traditions. We will then continue to Sighanghi, where we will visit the Bodbe Nunnery and the town. There will be free time for lunch before we visit a traditional Georgian winery. Our host will provide us with in-depth information on the Georgian wine-making process. We will then have the opportunity to taste the wines and return to Tbilisi.
